At Beth Israel, we are a community. We take care of each other, and we take care of those around us. Whether you have a calling for collections or a knack for knitting, you can make a difference in our community. Choose a Beth Israel Cares project (or two) - the time commitment is small, but the results are enormous.

Habitat for Humanity is a worldwide nonprofit (www.habitat.org ) that has helped more than 300,000 people own their own home. Each recipient invests 400 hours of sweat equity and finances their purchase through a mortgage. Turn this into a family event. Young children under 18 need a parent approval (sandtownhabitat.org) and under 16 may not work on a building site, but can work in the warehouse.Contact Bruce Galanter bgalanter@gmail.com
