Yom Kippur, Monday, September 28

 9:15-10:00 am    “The Book of Life: Jewish Perceptions of the Afterlife.” Join Rabbi Platt for a discussion of how the afterlife is represented in Jewish texts.
     
10:00-1:00 pm    Morning Service, Including Yizkor
The Yizkor service will take place at approximately 11:15 a.m., exact time subject to change.

10:00 am-12:15 pm Yom Kippur Youth Experience:
    
10:15 am     Chag for Tots. Join Marcy Snow for a fun-filled service for small children, ages 2-5.
     
10:30 am    Teen Experience with Joe Roberts and Jacob Rosenbaum Topic: “Being the Pinnacle of Humanity…Humbly”

3:30 pm    Unconscious Bias: From Atonement to Action with guest presenter, Avi Edelman
What factors shape how you see the world? What factors shape how the world sees you? On Yom Kippur, as we repent for wrongdoing, we will pause to reflect on inadvertent actions and snap judgments that can negatively impact our friends, colleagues, and community members. Join us to learn about unconscious bias and explore strategies for living our values.
