RELIABLE NEWS SOURCES ABOUT ISRAEL
The volume and frequency of information we receive about Israel is overwhelming. United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism has established a resources page that will be regularly updated with material and information.

In addition, there are a variety of Israeli news sources to consider, including:

• Times of Israel
• Ha'aretz
• Israel National News (Arutz Sheva)

A FEW WORDS ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media is a significant way individuals and communities get share information with teens and adults. Local mental health professionals and Jewish organizations have informed us that the Israeli government is urging parents to tell their children to delete Instagram and Tik Tok immediately. We strongly advise that you discuss this with your children and teens and do the same as soon as possible. Terrorists are expected to release distressing videos of hostages begging for their lives. People who follow Jewish or Israeli influencers may stumble upon them. As one Israeli psychologist has noted, "The videos and testimonies we are currently exposed to are bigger and crueler than our souls can contain."

If you would like to discuss this or need assistance with your children and teens in relation to what is happening in Israel please reach out to Rabbi Safman anytime. This is and will continue to be a time where we will all need support and community to help us get through.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL
There are a multitude of incredible organizations raising money to support Israel. While we encourage you to support organizations that are most meaningful to you, here are a small selection to consider:

• The Associated
• Friends of the Israel Defense Forces
• Magen David Adom Emergency Response
• The Jewish Agency for Israel and Fund for Victims of Terror's Emergency Fund
• Hadassah
• Masorti Foundation for Conservative Judaism in Israel
